no turkey on turkey day!

yes its sad but true NO turkey on turkey day i can only assume that many of you, if not all, look forward to this oh so special day as i do and have a traditional turky dinner. buuut this year my wife and her sister decided that we are going to have home made tamales and refried beans! it was a family tradition of their grandmas. i must be ed for no real man would stand for it.

That is funny as hell to me. My wifes sister pulled that one on us about 6 years ago. She said she wanted to start a "new" family tradition. So we were all supposed to bring a mexican dish. I brought cheese quesadillas, cuz I was so pissed.

I like turkey sometimes, and will eat it every year just for the sake of it. but a good ham to go with it, that and some rolls makes a good dinner.

you all have a happy thanksgiving and be careful traveling.

After I'm done eating at my house, I'm going to waddle over to my girlfriend's house and have 2nds

I'd be pissed if I had to eat tamales on an American holiday. You should secretly cook a turkey and surprise them.

Happy Thankgiving everyone!

I Am frying a turkey at my parents, they are already geeking out again about the 20/20 dateline....... stories about families bursting into flames while cooking a turkey.
but anyway,, you could always shoot the turkey and then it would seem more wild. if you hit it with a .22 people would be impressed with your skills.

your supposed to have them fresh tamales for breakfast with a couple of eggs smothered in green chili, and do the turkey for dinner. And then tamales for a bed time snack. Just had lunch, chicken, cheese quesadillas, the turkey comes later.
