The hose from the front of your metro valve cover into the intake, What's that do for you, I'm thinking of doing something like that to keep a little vacuum in the motor.

Using both the PCV and the breather. I did a liitle research on this and Bill had a good write up on it so I went with both. I had the MS2 on my old 1.3 and it smoked like crazy from the breather with out the PCV set up. It don't smoke no more on the 1.6 with the PCV set up.

Cool

So the valve in the intake manifold is the stock 1.3 valve?

My side 1 #008 I have since replaced the spertre regulator with the Holley regulator

Yes, the valve in the intake is the stock 1.3 PCV. The 1.3 PCV works opposite of the 1.6 valve so they work together hooked up the way I have them.

phloop, can I get away with maintaining the stock pcv configuration if I add the breather where it would hook up to the stock air box?

nice pics guys, rep to everyone I can

thanks for the answer billsbar

please correct me if I'm wrong (probably am)

-the red just floats, should I put a filter? It gets dusty on the road to my mom's house
-the yellow is the the float bowl overflow and just cruises not attatched to anything
-the blue hooks up to the distributor
-the two green hoses hook up to the intake providing warm water to heat up the adapter
-the orange hooks up to the pressure regulator
and everything on the intake that isn't hooked up at the end is capped

You asked so I had to answer, the blue does not hook up to the distributor. All vac ports on the carb are capped. Your options for vac advance are #1 off the intake manifold. There are two horizontal ports pointing towards the passenger fender well. Use on of those, the #2 option is to use the lower port on the aluminum ring provided in the kit. The #3 option is to run just mechanical advance no vac. These 3 options have covered all 380 units. Timing is more important than jetting and uses the most basic fuel and timing system (no vac valves or ECU) reguires more advanced timing.

as far as the PCV with the Metro valve cover you (and I did) can remove the stock PCV out of the intake and screw in a standard brass air hose fitting. Yes the threads are not the same but between the aluminum intake and the brass fitting there is enough give it screws in nice and tight. Then use the stock metro PCV in the valve cover. hook the factory beather line into either a small filter or into the air hose between the filter and carb or EFI
I ran a filter with the myside

and with EFI I incorporated a Honda air box that has a factory look for the breather tube. plus moves the air intake/cleaner up in the pass side fender away from the heat of the motor

Hey ya billsbar, I have a 1.6 8 valve. I am wondering when using that box how to hook up the coolant lines and the IAC.

Two of my coolant lines go to a "loop" that the IAC air flows through, then they go to the mechanical idle controller with the wax pellet. not sure why they do this stock but I would like to retain it.

Second I need to tie in the PCV to the hose that goes from the vale cover to the air box. Is this possible with the filter box you used from the Honda? I really dig they way the intake is on the cool side of the engine, and would like to do it myself.
