Importing a Sami to Canada

Hi

I'm a Canadian living in Canada. I found a Samurai I want in America. Canadian customs is telling me Transport Canada states the 1987 Suzuki Samurai as "Inadmissible" and I cannot bring the vehicle into Canada even though the Registrar of Imported Vehicles says that since it is older than 15 years, importing it to Canada is fine with them.

Does anyone have any experience with this ? According to my research any vehicle 15 years old or older (except buses) IS admissible and can be brought into Canada but Canada Customs says no.

Does anyone have any help for me ? I don't want to let this Samurai go - it's way too nice.

Please help if you can,
Thank you,
Dave

If it's 15 years old, it can come in. Go to the Gov. site and read up on you paperwork and submit it..........nothing they can do to refuse you.....
