Samurai to Toyota axle parking brake?

Anyone ever adapted the Sammy e brake cables to the Toyota drums? I dont want to do a tcase brake or line lock brake.

I have not done the Sammy e brake cables to the Toyota drums. I have done the Sammy ebrake cables to the Maxima calipers. Basically, a two step process. I fabbed one adapter at the caliper, to connect the Sammy cable to the Maxims, with the pull in the proper direction. The second adapter was at the Sammy ebrake lever, to increase the travel of the ebrake cable. I increased the throw from about 1-3/4" to 4". Both adapters are bolt on.

Cool thanks Wayne! Should be a similar process I would assume. Only difference is the extra width of the IFS axle. Do you have any pictures? I'm more of a visual learner

I am in the process of doing the write-up on my Maxima caliper install, that will include photos. I really do not think the caliper/Sammy ebrake photos will help much for your ebrake. If I saw a photo of the Toy drum/ebrake assembly, I might be able give you some ideas. I also have no idea how much wider the Toy axles are, from ebrake connection to ebrake connection. That would be helpful. I do have a couple of ideas.

After you do the Sammy ebrake cable connection to the Toy drums, you may need to make an adapter for the Sammy ebrake lever. This is assuming the Toy ebrake connection travel is greater than the Sammy. I made my ebrake lever adapter a bolt on.

I just got done hooking up my samy ebrake cable to my yota drums. All i did was just my samy ebrake cable on the passenger side and added a 1 inch cable section to it with it being held on my cable clamps. And it work perfectly fine and stays nice and tight
