co2 set up

hey guys,
i decided to go with a co2 set up instead of a compressor and had a quick question about my regulator. the one i ordered came with a screw in check valve on the output, do i need this since im not using this for liquid ? i think the regulator i have is designed for using the co2 for a keg or something and my thought is the check valve is there to keep liquid out of the regulator. can i just remove it ? im not having much luck finding a quick connect that will fit it

thanks

The liquid converts to gas, would think use as it is or ask the gas guys where you fill it if no answer here.

I want co2 for the ease of buy and mount, no extra efforts needed. I keep looking at my scuba tank...

well this check valve is on the exit of the regulator to keep stuff from coming back into it from the hose side not the tank side, thats why i kinda think i could remove it but im not possitive, thanks for the input though. from what i have read c02 is the way to go, i got 2 used 10 pound tanks for 80 bucks and the regulator for 35 so for 2 tanks ive got 115 in it. thats way cheaper than the compressor i wanted

The check valve is for keeping beer from getting into the reg. so you do not need it. That is unless your going to have onboard beer as well. And I'm guessing the parts you picked up are for a beer set up.

I use an Oxygen regulator on my co2 tank, no check valve.

The onboard beer keg sounds good to me, but gotta reach the driver, with maybe a foot operated control for the drivers tube. You wouldn't need a passenger then, they could be spotting and not have to hold your beer.

Shops will not fill this with CO2. Not legal to do that.
