An addition to the family...

Attached is a picture of our newest addition to the
Phillips' Home for Wayward Dogs.

Believe it or not, Joe brought this one home.

We welcomed him to our home on April 10, 2009.
He is very sweet, such a good boy.
I took him to the vet Monday morning and he is about 3 years old. Beagle Mix.
Heart and Lungs sound good, a little boney from not eating, he does have hook worms which I gave him medicine to cure the hooks and he does have heart worms. Even went and bought him a blue camo collar to match his 2 new brothers. He looks good in it matches his blue ID rabies tag!
He will start Heart Worm treatment in 2 months after I fatten him up a bit with a diet of rice, chicken broth and egg, along with his dog food.

His name: "Boudreaux" Sampson Phillips

He joins his new family.....
1) "Rocky" Ray Phillips
2) Pretty "Peaches" Phillips
3) "Thistle" Rosslyn Phillips
4) "Dallas" Jake Phillips

Yes, that adds up to 5 dogs... all which are rescued dogs.

it would appear that way now, huh? Had never thought of that before. Normally I'm the one who brings home the stray pups and Joe is the one who brings home the stray zuki's.

He is about 30lbs, he may have some pointer in him... ya never know.

Then I caught him lifting his rear leg in my new shop.... He is not invited back in.... for a while.

i never put him up on craigslist or anything like that for fear of nut jobs,labs,and resellers. we just keep our eyes open for a place where he can be happy and have a forever home. as much as he drives me nuts sometimes i wouldnt ever want anything bad to happen to him.thats awesome you guys have been rescuing and it looks like you got a great pack there. our last adoption was the jrt in my avitar. he is completely deaf and lucky he wasnt put down. a lot of breeders will put them down to make sure they are never bread or people find out that their purebreads have thrown a deaf dog. he is typical jrt and is pure terror, if only he could hear how much he barked.

the markings on his head are similar to my pure bred pointer. so he could have some pointer in him. all in all you have good looking dogs!

heres my pointer to look at the markings on his head, they are pretty close to yours.

He is cute pup! Did you know you can teach them sign language? A friend of mine has a deaf blue healer, he is a good dog and has a great sense of smell. ha ha

Wow the markings are very similar even the spots on the legs.... Boudreaux has a lot of little spots on his legs... looks like chocolate chips!

thanks, yes he knows a couple things like come,sit,down with sign. he also learned this cool trick all by himself where he chews holes in the walls which has taught me to be able to punt him almost to the fence. with practice im sure we will both have it down to perfection.

I thought that was a picture of our dog, they look so much alike. I would say he (ours) is a pointer from the looks of it. He picks up on things fast.
