The paint stripper is super easy but now I will have to get a bunch of etching primer now that it is down to the bare metal.

Just a friendly suggestion, you might want to wear a mask; your lungs will love you for it later.

Is the paint remover you used Naval Jelly?

Cheers on your project.

I normally have been using a 3M dusk mask when there is not good ventilation. That day we were outside and there was a really good breeze. My daughter took this picture and this was before Joe bought the paint remover.
Thank you so much your concern and suggestion.

That paint remover ( I really don't want to use the term striper here) is most likely the navel jelly/air craft paint remover. Works really good for removing paint and if you cover it with saran wrap it works faster, and heat helps the remover react faster.

Cool, I did not know that about the saran wrap. We will have to give that a try. I'm learning alot from this site and appreciate all the suggestions and helpful tips.
Thanks!!

Joe bought me some PINK mechanix gloves over the weekend and then came home with my springs last night! He will hopefully be able to pick up my motor next week. I'm having so much fun with this project!!!

I want to have this baby running by ZukiKrawl in August.
